Clear Creek
Project Review |
 |
The Galveston District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
is engaged in a complete re-evaluation of flood risk management
measures for Clear Creek. Three local sponsors representing
constituents within the watershed are co-sponsoring this
re-evaluation study. These sponsors include the Harris County
Flood Control District, Galveston County, and Brazoria Drainage District Number Four.

The Project Team has reached a major milstone in this study.
The Corps has identified the NED Alternative. The
NED Alternative
is an initial plan derived from the Corps' comprehensive analysis
of engineering, economic and environmental criteria. The three
local sponsors are currently evaluating this alternative and are seeking feedback from the Clear Creek Watershed
Steering Committee (CCWSC), Clear Creek Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) and the public.
